Only the right button counts here. On a touch screen every tap counts.
Your results will appear here after your first run.
This test runs in your browser and needs JavaScript. Turn JavaScript on to start it; the explanation and the checklist below work without it.
How the right click CPS tester works
- Pick a mode: 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 or 100 seconds (5 s by default).
- Right-click the pad. The timer starts on your first right click.
- Keep right-clicking until the ring runs out. You see clicks, time left and live CPS.
- The result card shows your right-click CPS with two decimals: clicks ÷ seconds.
Only the right button counts here. Left clicks on the pad are ignored, so you cannot cheat by switching fingers. Inside the pad the browser's context menu is turned off, so it does not pop up and steal your clicks. Outside the pad, right-click works as usual.
On a touch screen there is no right button, so every tap counts. Your best score per mode and your last 20 runs are saved only in this browser.
Why test the right mouse button?
In many games the right button is just as busy as the left: placing blocks while bridging in block-building games, aiming down sights, blocking, or using an item. Most people click noticeably slower with the right button, because the middle finger is used to doing less.
The right click test is also a quick hardware check. If one run shows strangely high numbers for very gentle clicking, the right switch may be double-clicking by itself. Confirm it with the mouse test, which shows each button press and catches double-click chatter.
Fun tiers and the auto clicker note
You get the same fun tier as on the left-click CPS test. These are our own thresholds, just for fun, not statistics: under 4 CPS Warming up, from 4 Steady, from 6 Quick, from 8 Fast, from 10 Blazing, from 13 Lightning.
If at least 20 right clicks in a row come at 15 CPS or more with almost identical gaps (under 2 ms of variation), you see a note that it looks like an auto clicker. No leaderboard, nothing sent.
Tips for faster right clicking
- Keep your middle finger on the button with light pressure; lifting it high costs time.
- Rest your palm so the hand stays still. Over 10 s and more, steady beats tense.
- Try short modes first (1 s, 3 s) to find a rhythm, then build up to 10 s.
- Mind the switch. Jitter or butterfly techniques wear out the right switch just like the left one.
- Stop if it hurts. Your wrist matters more than a score.
Compare left and right on the CPS test, then try the spacebar clicker, the aim trainer or the reaction time test. To check how often your mouse reports, use the mouse polling rate test. All games are on the skill tests page.
Frequently asked questions
How do I test my right click CPS?
Choose a mode, right-click the pad to start the timer, and keep right-clicking until the time runs out. Your score is right clicks divided by the seconds of the mode.
Why does the context menu not appear?
We turn it off inside the click pad only, so every right click counts and no menu gets in your way. Everywhere else on the page right-click works normally.
Do left clicks count in the right click test?
No. With a mouse only the right button counts. On a touch screen every tap counts, because there is no right button.
What is a good right click CPS?
We have no data about other players. Most people are a bit slower with the right button than with the left. Compare your right and left results in the same mode, and use our fun tiers just for fun.
