Cookies and local storage
Last updated: October 23, 2026
DeviceKite uses very little storage. The only cookies come from Google Analytics, described below. This page lists everything that may be stored on your device and why.
Strictly necessary
ts-consent (local storage): records your choice about analytics and advertising and the date you made it, so you are not asked again on every page. It is asked again after twelve months.
Preferences
p10:theme, p10:micId, p10:camId, p10:kbLayout (local storage): your light or dark theme, the microphone and camera you picked last time, and your keyboard layout. They stay on your device and exist only if you use those settings.
Your results
p10:reaction, p10:cps:…, p10:space:…, p10:aim, p10:typing and similar keys (local storage): personal bests and recent results of the skill tests. They stay on your device. "Clear my results" on the privacy page or on any skill test deletes them.
Analytics
_ga and _ga_<ID> (cookies, up to 2 years): set by Google Analytics 4 to tell one visit from the next. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are set only after you agree. Elsewhere they are set by default until you switch analytics off in the privacy settings.
Advertising
None at present. If ads are switched on later, this list will be updated first, and in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland nothing will be set before you agree.
Changing your choice
